Puma Energy says first quarter fuel sales volume rose 31%

Pump Energy intenrationalPuma Energy International said May 20 in a statement issued in Singapore that its first quarter sales volume rose 31% to nearly 4.3 million cubic meters compared with 3.3 million cubic meters in the first quarter of the year earlier.

Earnings before interest taxes and depreciation rose 8% to US $151 million compared with $140 million in the same period last year.

"Puma Energy has delivered consistently year on year. I am satisfied with our performance, our recent acquisitions in the UK, Puerto Rico and in Australia and look forward to our large projects coming online to help drive our strategy forward throughout the year," said Denis Chazarain, company CFO.

Puma operates in 45 countries. Formed in 1997 in Central America, Puma Energy has since expanded its activities worldwide, achieving rapid growth, diversification and product line development.

The company directly manages near 7,500 employees. Headquartered in Singapore, it has regional hubs in Johannesburg (South Africa), San Juan (Puerto Rico), Brisbane (Australia) and Tallinn (Estonia).
